The Youth, Skills & the Workforce of the Future challenge is a partnership between the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Solve initiative and the Atlassian Foundation. It seeks innovative ideas that will prepare youth in the Indo-Pacific region for the workforce of the future and award the best solutions up to AUD $2.8 Million in prizes and grant funding.

Impact Hub Jakarta hosted a Solve-a-Thon: an interactive ideation workshop rooted in human-centred design to identify, refine, and test potential solutions to this challenge. We brought together innovators, non-government organizations, non-profits, social enterprises, academics, entrepreneurs, and businesses to uncover the world’s most scalable education models that prepare disadvantaged youth for the workforce of the future!
