Hack the Challenge is a regional
incubation program initiated by Impact
Hub Asia Pacific and sponsored by Bank
of America Merrill Lynch which aims to
support innovative ventures committed
to addressing the various environmental
issues plaguing the world. As a pilot, the
inaugural Hack the Challenge Regional
Program with the theme: Disrupting the
Plastics Ecosystem : Alternative
Solutions (3R).

Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is implementing the project ‘Economic Empowerment of Women Entrepreneurs and Start-ups by Women’ on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and in partnership with the Indian Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MoSDE), to promote aspiring and existing women entrepreneurs in India.

FUCKUP NIGHTS (FUN) is a global
movement that has spread to 300+
cities in more than 86+ countries
around the world. The concept of
FuckUp Nights is simple: breaking away
from the stigmas surrounding
(business) ‘failure’. The lessons we can
learn from failure are often more
valuable and interesting than stories
about success. We brought FUN to
Jakarta because we wanted to
celebrate entrepreneurial learning
through ‘failure’.

Empowering Entrepreneurship Initiative (EEI) was created to provide direct support for entrepreneurs in emerging markets. Impact Hub Jakarta supported the implementation of the program that provides innovative businesses with a curated combination of mentoring, workshops, network building and direct financial support.

Accelerate2030 is a program
co-initiated by Impact Hub Geneva and
the UNDP, with a mission to scale
internationally the impact of
entrepreneurs working towards
achieving positive social and
environmental change

Jakarta Provincial Government and the State Government of Berlin are jointly implementing the project “Smart Change - Strengthening Urban Governance, Prosperity and Innovation in Jakarta”, funded by the European Union, to foster innovative solutions for urban sustainability. The project is also engaging with the city of Bangkok to promote the exchange of good practice and thus sustainability throughout the region.

Future City Accelerator is a program
under Smart Change initiative, a unique
collaboration which emphasizes the
Germany-Indonesia network, and offers
exciting selling points to entrepreneurs,
such as a proximity to policy makers
with a focus on smart city and
multilateral perspectives between
Jakarta, Berlin, and Bangkok.

The Future City Hub in Jakarta is being developed to enable entrepreneurs, innovators together with government
institutions, corporates, academia and citizens to conjointly solve Smart City challenges of a more sustainable future.
The Innovation Hub, enables international, as well as regional collaboration, and provides access to a cross-sectoral network (government officials, corporates, academic institutions, etc.) for creating problem-fit and innovative solutions.
