As we enter the school holiday season we are seeing more people traveling the world over – a welcome change from the pandemic days of the past two years. Our question as we go “back to normal” is how can we travel more sustainably? If you have tips and recommendations, let us know by replying to this email!
At Impact Hub Jakarta, we are seeing higher traffic. More people walking through our doors means more offline activities. More community members are using our space, as well as new program and event space inquiries for 2022 and beyond.
We also hosted the Business Hub Summit for People for Peat, an organization involved in promoting better management of peatlands in ASEAN in July.
Not to forget, we had the pleasure of attending related side-events during the AVPN Global Conference 2022 in Bali. We networked with ecosystem builders and impact investors from Asia Pacific at a networking dinner organized by ANDE (Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs) on 20 June 2022.
Later in the week on 24 June 2022, we were involved in an Impact Investment Matchmaking for MSMEs organized by #KoalisiEkonomiMembumi (#CoalitionofConsciousEconomy), led by Supernova Ecosystem. Together with a stellar cast of other enablers they roped in an impressive line up of 47 MSMEs, 21 Investors, 9 Venture Capital firms, 5 Boutique Investment Firms, and 3 International Development Agencies.

We were thrilled to host an event for People for Peat, a coalition that supports ASEAN Peatland Management Strategy. | Impact Hub Jakarta was honored to attend a networking dinner organized by ANDE (Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs). As a member of ANDE, we were joined by a diverse group of inspiring organizations involved in impact ecosystem building in the region. The intimate Nusa Dua beachfront setting on the resort island of Bali served as the perfect backdrop for networking and catching up with familiar faces. After all, the world of impact-building is really small, and everyone’s connected in one way or another. Meeting our counterparts from across Asia Pacific through ANDE Network was truly uplifting. |
| An impressive list of stakeholders and institutions – from Government, Investors, Donors, Enablers, and MSMEs – were brought together at a Matchmaking Impact Investment event for MSMEs in Bali organized by a Coalition of Impact Enablers, aptly called by a hashtag #KoalisiEkonomiMembumi (#CoalitionofConsciousEconomy) on 24 June 2022. The event at Courtyard by Marriott, Nusa Dua, Bali, was intended to facilitate MSMEs navigate the impact investment landscape in Indonesia, while answering challenges faced by impact-driven startups and MSMEs. The Matchmaking event was initiated by Supernova Ecosystem, a key member of the Coalition of Conscious Economy (#KoalisiEkonomiMembumi), who pulled in all the country’s impact players: ANGIN, ASYX, Econusa, Impact Hub Jakarta, Impala Network, Instellar, LTKL, Pandegha, Pratisara Bumi Foundation, SIAP, Stockholm Environment Institute, Supernova Ecosystem, and Swadaya, among others. A few Ministries and Government Institutions were also involved in the curation process, such as the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, the Ministry for Tourism and Creative Economy, and SMESCo, the marketing and promotional subsidiary of the Ministry of Cooperatives. Impact Hub Jakarta was thrilled to be involved in a packed day of activities. 47 MSMEs from all sizes, industry, supply chain, and enablers, from across Indonesia. 21 Investors, 9 Venture Capital firms, and 5 other Investment Firms; ADM Capital, SWEEF, MDI, and Moonshot Ventures, and international agencies: CLUA, USAID, and JCAF. |
